RFA 40 Weigh-in Results: Sklavos, Camus On Point
Las Vegas-based
Resurrection Fighting Alliance will return to Mystic Lake
Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minn., on Friday with another night of
mixed martial arts action. The main event of RFA
40 will be a flyweight showdown between Czar
Sklavos and Chico Camus,
with the winner inching ever closer to a title fight.
Sklavos, who has won two in a row and five of his last six, will nab the biggest name on his resume if he gets past Camus. The Vale Tudo japan veteran has looked good during his recent winning streak and “The Gunfighter” looks to keep things rolling on Friday.
Camus, meanwhile, bounced back with a win at RFA 36 in March after
being released from the UFC. He suffered back-to-back losses to
former flyweight world title challengers Henry
Cejudo and Kyoji
Horiguchi and went 1-3 in his final four bouts in the Octagon.
A win over Sklavos would boost his stock tremendously.
At Thursday’s weigh-ins, both main event combatants came in on point, clearing the way for their headlining scrap. Sklavos tipped the scale at 125.2 pounds while Camus came in at 126.
AXS TV will televise RFA 40 live beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
Marvin Blumer (136) vs. Terrion Ware (136)
Chase Waldon (185.4) vs. James Austen Heidlage (185.8)
Dan Moret (145.8) vs. Alex Gilpin (146)
Jonathan Thomson (171) vs. Jordon Larson (170.8)
Carl Wittstock (156) vs. Benjamin Locken (155.4)
