Herrig, a strawweight, isn’t the biggest woman in the world, but she’s certainly one of the more fit, muscular 115-pounders on the UFC roster. While she wouldn’t have any problem competing at 125 pounds, she has publicly eschewed the idea. That said, if given the opportunity to craft a pro-wrestling body, she could more than easily add some strength and bulk and wouldn’t have any issues as a legitimately sized pro-wrestler. Herrig’s charisma and penchant for the spotlight has made it hard for MMA folks to ignore her potential to crossover. On top of that, she’s a tireless worker in the gym and would likely excel once she got to the WWE Performance Center. She was asked earlier this year if she would consider such a jump and while she was non-committal, I think it’s easy to imagine her reconsidering in the near future.
“I like the entertainment side of that, but I don’t know…There would be a lot less pressure, but I am happy where I am at right now.” If nothing else, she realizes it’s a viable option.
