How to Watch UFC Fight Night 237

Over the past few years, the Ultimate Fighting Championship has made a dedicated effort towards celebrating the Mexican spirit in combat sports. In fact, Noche UFC was rooted in homage to Mexican independence and headlined by women’s flyweight champion Alexa Grasso.

It goes without saying that Mexican fighters instill a profound sense of reverence and elicit unmatched passion from the fans. The fever and unyielding passion cuts through the air and crackles with energy, as the roar of “Viva Mexico” cascades through the arena with the ferocity of a battle cry. The rhythm of mariachi will echo through the streets celebrating this very essence when the UFC lands in Mexico City with UFC Fight Night 237 in Saturday at Arena CDMX. The organization’s sixth visit to Mexico City will be headlined by two rematches in the main and co-main events, both stipulated to be fought out over five rounds.

In the main event, two-time UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno will square off against recent title challenger Brandon Royval in a rematch from their prior encounter at UFC 255. Moreno won the bout by TKO in the first round. When Moreno steps inside the Octagon, the pleasantries and humility are left behind, as he embodies “The Assassin Baby” persona with fists clenched with purpose. Meanwhile, Royval is another fighter who brings the action every time and has earned a reputation as a formidable scrapper in recent times. “Raw Dawg” is coming off a unanimous decision loss to champion Alexandre Pantoja at UFC 296 in his maiden effort to taste championship glory.

Meanwhile, in the co-main event, seasoned featherweight contenders Yair Rodriguez and Brian Ortega will square off to draw a definitive conclusion to their first encounter back in July 2022. Rodriguez won the fight by technical knockout in the first round, as Ortega popped his shoulder during a scramble and fell back to the canvas in pain.

With a mix of seasoned Mexican veterans and promising prospects, UFC Fight Night 237 promises to deliver exhilarating action and memorable moments inside the Octagon. A closer look at the particulars:
