Sergio Pettis: ‘By The End of This Year, I Hope To Get a Title Shot’
Milwaukee’s Sergio Pettis was a step ahead of opponent John Moraga throughout their flyweight encounter and won a unanimous decision for his effort. Pettis had Moraga rocked badly at the end of the first when he drilled him with a series of lefts and rights to the dome, but Moraga hung on until the horn ended the frame.
From there, Moraga was a bit more passive and while rounds two and three were close, Pettis landed the better strikes and simply did more on the ground. The official scores were all on Pettis’ side by tallies of 29-28 twice and 30-27.
