Family Accepting Donations for Joe Camacho Memorial Fund

The family of Bellator MMA veteran Joe Camacho has set up a memorial fund to help pay for the fighter’s funeral arrangements.

Donations will be accepted at http://www.gofundme.com/5t5ss0.

“We ask that you donate to this fund in order to help Joe's family give him a proper burial while grieving for his loss. No donation is too small,” the page reads. “Please take a moment to share this with your friends and family. We truly appreciate your assistance in this family's time of need. Let's remind them how much they are loved and cared for. I'm sure that Joe will pay us back somehow, as he was the type of person that always gave 100 percent assistance to anyone who needed it. Thank you in advance. Rest in peace, Joe.”

A 12-year pro, Camacho died Monday at the age of 41 due to an apparent heart attack. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt compiled a career mark of 13-19-3, making his final in-cage appearance Nov. 2 at Bellator 106. The Californian also competed under the Shooto, EliteXC and King of the Cage banners during his run as a mixed martial artist, earning 10 of his 13 victories inside the distance.
