Former WWE Star ‘Jack Swagger’ to Make Pro MMA Debut at Bellator 214

Hager, better known by his sports entertainment persona “Jack
Swagger,” will make his professional MMA debut at Bellator 214.
The former World Wrestling Entertainment star announced that he will face J.W. Kiser at Bellator 214 during an appearance on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show on Monday. Hager signed a multi-fight contract with the California-based promotion in late 2017 and was initially expected to debut this year.
Bellator 214 takes place on Jan. 26 at the Forum in Inglewood,
Calif., and is headlined by a the heavyweight grand prix final
matchup pitting Fedor
Emelianenko against Ryan Bader.
The card will also see Gegard
Mousasi defend his middleweight crown against Rafael
Lovato Jr.
Hager was an All-American wrestler at the University of Oklahoma before embarking on an approximately 11-year tenure with WWE. He still competes on the regional circuit in professional wrestling.
Kiser is 0-1 in MMA. The 41-year-old heavyweight suffered a 24-second TKO defeat against Antonio Martinez on May 5. He also owns a 1-3 documented record as an amateur.
