SANDERSON VS MITCHELL 2 SET FOR AUGUST 9

(PRESS RELEASE) -- On August 9, former featherweight champion,
Jesse
Sanderson, will step in to face the guy who took his title,
Bryce
Mitchell, in the main event.
These two fighters met back in June, in which Mitchell came out on top via rear naked choke in the first round to claim the championship. He was scheduled to fight Trey Manley in the main event, but Manley had to pull out due to injury. On that same night, Sanderson was scheduled to fight in the co-main event. When Manley pulled out, Sanderson stepped in for a chance to reclaim the title he once defended several times.
When asked about this rematch, here is what president, Nick
Harmeier, had to say: “The last time these two fought, Jesse took
that fight on three weeks notice and wasn’t able to put in a full
training camp. We’ve put nothing but monsters in front of him and
he has defeated them all. No one deserves this shot more than him.
I can’t wait for this fight now that both fighters can put in a
full camp.
This fight pits the top two featherweights not only in Arkansas, but the mid-south region against one another for a second time. Will Mitchell come out on top once again, or will Sanderson shock the ‘Legion’ one more time and set up the biggest rubber match that this region has ever seen?
