PVT Mag 42: The Countdown to 'Jacare's' Octagon Debut

It's been a while since a UFC debut was as anticipated by Brazilian fans as Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza's and the reason is clear: after his great achievements in jiu-jitsu, ADCC and Strikeforce, Souza was overdue to show his talent in the Octagon.

Scheduled to face Chris Camozzi at the UFC on FX 8 in Jaragua do Sul, Brazil, the former Strikeforce middleweight champ might be setting the stage for a major title challenge in the near future. In a chat with PVT Mag, Jacare opens up the fight and how he's dealing with the expectations fans have for him entering the UFC.

One of the most controversial aspects of MMA -- and one not yet mastered by many of the general public -- are the rules of the sport. Many questions loom in the minds of fans as well as professionals in the sport about what is allowed or not, who is governing the sport and many regulatory issues. In this edition of PVT Mag, we talk to the experts and try to clarify some of these issues.

This instalment of “Alonso's Relics” remembers World Vale Tudo Championship 5. On Feb. 3, 1998, a humid night in Pernambuco with no air conditioning inside Recife club Fun House, vale tudo legend Igor Vovchanchyn ran over three men to capture a one-night tournament, including Mark Coleman understudy Nick Nutter.

Also, PVT Mag 42 features “Private Lesson” with the aforementioned Jacare, a Baiana muse as our ring girl of the month as much more.
