Podcast: Robinson, Cox, Brenneman, Kizer

The jaw-dropping cancellation of UFC 151 this week is the subject of the first "Rewind Special Report" Sunday night on the Sherdog Radio Network.

Host Jack Encarnacao brings together several perspectives on what it means when the plug is pulled on an event of such magnitude.

Charlie Brenneman was geared up to face Jon Jones camp mate Kyle Noke on the UFC 151 preliminary card. He made headlines when he tweeted that Jon Jones could mail him a check for his rent money because of the cancellation. The welterweight's fight has since been rescheduled, but his opinions on the situation remain strong. Brenneman joins the Rewind Sunday to talk about what it's like to be a high-level fighter on card that is abruptly canceled.

Keith Kizer, director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, didn't know until fans did that UFC 151 at Mandalay Bay was no longer happening. Kizer discusses what happens from a regulatory and commerce standpoint when a marquee fight on the Vegas Strip goes up in smoke.

Monte Cox has managed fighters and promoted fights just about as long as anyone in mixed martial arts, and his list of client included late-replacement specialist Rich Franklin. The considerations behind Jon Jones' decision to decline a replacement fight for an injured Dan Henderson are many. Cox joins the Rewind Sunday to talk about the high-pressure dynamic of a jeopardized event, and the many interests that potential forces a fighter and his manager to balance.

Glenn Robinson, manager of The Blackzilians camp, will join the program to detail how new stable member Vitor Belfort ended up being the next fighter to challenge Jones.
