By the Numbers: UFC 312

Dricus Du Plessis left no doubt this time around.

After edging Sean Strickland via split decision in their first meeting at UFC 297, Du Plessis put a more emphatic stamp on their rivalry with a clear-cut unanimous decision triumph in the UFC 312 headliner at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia, on Saturday night. More striking volume and variety carried “Stillknocks” to his second successful title defense, likely removing Strickland from championship conversations for the foreseeable future. If all goes as planned, Du Plessis can likely look forward to a future matchup with Khamzat Chimaev later in 2025.
