Bellator 149 Weigh-in Results: Ken Shamrock-Royce Gracie Trilogy Bout Gets Go-Ahead


More than 22 years after their first encounter and nearly two decades since their first rematch, Ultimate Fighting Championship hall of famers Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie will meet again.

Shamrock, 52, tipped the scales at 201.2 pounds ahead of his clash with the 49-year-old Gracie (190.8) in the Bellator 149 main event on Friday at the Toyota Center in Houston. Heavyweights Kimbo Slice (232) and Dhafir “Dada 5000” Harris (265) were also cleared for their co-headliner at Thursday’s official weigh-in.

Bellator 149 “Shamrock vs. Gracie” -- which airs live on Spike TV at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT -- will also feature a featherweight scrap pairing Daniel Pineda (148.2) with Roufusport’s Emmanuel Sanchez (149.2), a lightweight tilt pitting UFC veteran Melvin Guillard (*158) against Derek Campos (155) and a light heavyweight battle matching former Bellator MMA champion Emanuel Newton (205) with Linton Vassell (205.4).

A heavyweight affair between “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 10 graduate Justin Wren (247) and Juan Torres (259.8) highlights the undercard, which streams to Sherdog.com at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT.
