Knight will be taking on Harry
Johnson. This fight has so much hype around it that it was
moved to the co-main event and has “Fight of the Night” written all
over it.
Jason Knight is currently 11-1 and trains out of Alan Belcher’s MMA Club. He is a crafty veteran and a win over Johnson could very well put him on the map. We caught up with “The Kid” and talked to him about his upcoming fight with V3.
How did you get started in MMA?
The reason I started fighting was because I was a bad ass kid who loved to fight. This way I could fight without getting in trouble, so MMA became my life. My first fight was when I was fourteen at a bar in Mobile, AL at a place called “The Fight Club.” What is/are your strengths as a fighter?
You are fighting a very dangerous opponent in Harry Johnson. Where do you feel you have the advantage in this fight and what are your thoughts on your opponent?
My advantage in this fight should be on the ground. I see Harry as a hell of an opportunity and a very tough opponent.
How do you see this fight going?
I see this fight going to a hard fought decision victory for “The Kid.”
How does it feel to be the co-main event on such a prestigious show?
It feels good to be the co-main event, but I think we will make the main event look boring. Wade Johnson is going to have one tough act to follow.
