Jordan Stiner Versus Darrell Horcher Will Crown a New CFFC Lightweight Champion!

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Atlantic City, NJ – On Saturday February 7th, 2015, live from the Borgata Hotel and Casino, Cage Fury Fighting Championship (CFFC) will crown a new lightweight champion when Jordan Stiner (9-1) takes on Darrell Horcher (10-1) in the main event at CFFC 45. With a combined record of 19-2, this fight will also claim the current title of top lightweight prospect in the world as the last three CFFC lightweight champions, John Cholish, Charlie Brenneman and Paul Felder, have gone to the UFC.

Winning nine out of his first ten pro fights, Stiner heads into this contest with a lot of confidence. He is currently undefeated at lightweight and his only loss was a decision at 145-pounds to the current CFFC featherweight champion, Levan Makashvilli. After that loss, the Canton, Pennsylvania native has won three straight including a knockout victory over Mike Medrano. “My time is now to take the CFFC title,” stated Stiner. “Since moving up to lightweight, I feel like no one is going to be able to stop me from being champion. I was born to fight, this is my destiny. Horcher will be my toughest fight to date and I have nothing but respect for him as a fighter. I feel like we have been on a crash course to fight each other for some time now. We are the top two lightweights in the region and only one of us is going to be crowned. That being said, no one will stand in my way of taking the belt home. No one will want to miss this one, there will most definitely be fireworks!”

After shooting out of the gate with six stoppages in his first six fights, Horcher is putting together a more complete package as a fighter. Once known for just his knockouts, Horcher is showing other aspects of his game which includes wrestling and jiu-jitsu. Horcher has gone 3-0 since signing with CFFC and has his sights set out on CFFC gold since his promotional debut. "I want to thank CFFC for giving me an opportunity to fight for their lightweight title and to showcase my skills," said Horcher. "Jordan Stiner is a very well rounded opponent. He’s won fights by both knockout and submission. I am excited to compete against Jordan, I think we will bring the best out in each other and put on a great fight for the fans. I approach every fight with the same game plan, to finish. That is my goal, impose my will on my opponent and fight for the finish. Fans won't want to miss this fight, I've been traveling to train with some of the best in the world and I’m ready to show my skills and become CFFC Lightweight Champion."

In the co-main event, Lyman Good (16-3) will make his second attempt at the CFFC welterweight title when he takes on Elijah Harshbarger (7-4) in a scheduled five-round affair. After a devastating knockout victory in his promotional debut, Good made no mistakes letting it be known that he wanted to fight for the CFFC welterweight title. Good got his chance but due to an accidental eye poke in the third round against current champion, Jonavin Webb (7-0), the bout was ruled a no-contest. With Webb sidelined, the fight between Good and Harshbarger will be for the CFFC interim title. "I'm very excited to put my skills to work again for the CFFC, and fight for a title against a high-level opponent like Elijah,” said the New York, New York native. “I'm going to bring my usual level of violence and, while I'm ready for a five round war, I don't see it lasting that long."

Coming off a win over a UFC veteran, Harshbarger comes into this fight as a champion under another organization. The Woodbridge, Virginia native has an incredible six submissions in his seven victories. The only decision win to his name is against former CFFC champion and current UFC standout, George Sullivan. “I’m super excited for the opportunity to fight for CFFC title,” said Harshbarger. “It's a very coveted title. I have had my eye on it for a long time. Getting to fight a guy with as good a reputation as Lyman Good really is just the cherry on top for me. I'm hoping this is the win to put me in the spotlight where I feel like I should've been for a long time now.” "What a way start to 2015,” exclaimed CFFC CEO Robert Haydak Jr. “All four of these fighters are going after the coveted CFFC straps which will place them that much closer to the pinnacle of our sport. Our fans are going to be in for another incredible night of world class action-packed fights."

The card is scheduled for 13 total fights which includes a featherweight battle between undefeated Shane “the Hurricane” Burgos” taking on Terrell Hobbs (9-7) from Virginia. In another featured bout, Jason Coleman (7-4) returns to the CFFC cage after a three year layoff to take on undefeated prospect Jared Gordon (4-0).
