The Knoxville MMA representative bounced back from a submission loss to Ilir Latifi in February and did so in sizzling fashion, as he tapped Tyson Pedro with a straight armbar in the UFC Fight Night 132 co-headliner on June 23 in Kallang, Singapore. St. Preux, 35, overcame a rough start, lured Pedro into his trap and cashed in when the time was right. He has compiled an 11-6 record since joining the UFC roster in April 2013, proving himself a worthy contender and gatekeeper in the light heavyweight division. The only men to defeat St. Preux inside the Octagon? Latifi, Volkan Oezdemir, Jimi Manuwa, Jon Jones, Glover Teixeira and Ryan Bader. His victory over Pedro moves him to No. 10 in the latest Sherdog.com divisional rankings and bumps the struggling Misha Cirkunov to the list of contenders.

His departure clears the way for Gregor Gillespie, a four-time NCAA All-American wrestler and onetime national champion who has raced out to a 12-0 start to his career.

Finally, having been relegated to the sidelines for more than a year, women’s featherweight mainstays Germaine de Randamie and Charmaine Tweet were bounced from the 145-pound list. In their stead, Felicia Spencer and Amber Leibrock join the Top 10, with Sinead Kavanagh and Pam Sorenson moving to the bubble.
