Frank Camacho Aware He Lacks Momentum for UFC Fight Night 177 Bout

Having lost two-straight, and five of seven in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Frank Camacho understands he does not head into his UFC Fight Night 177 bout with much momentum. It’s also why he expects opponent Brok Weaver to step into the Octagon very confident, despite Camacho having faced far stiffer opposition in the past.

“You see Frank Camacho’s last two fights [and think], ‘I’m going to go in there and do my thing.’ So, I’m aware of that, I have to address that, and be ready for that. Because I believe I have all the skills to win. And I have the will to win. But what’s going to separate him from all the other guys is a different level of confidence going into this fight.”

In his conversation with Sherdog, the 31-year-old also explained missing weight for his fight in June, and the mental lapses that lead to his surprise knockout loss to underdog and short-notice replacement, Justin Jaynes. He also talked more about his upcoming fight and told a unique story about fighting his uncle in his second professional bout.
