By the Numbers: UFC Saudi Arabia
Nassourdine Imavov had no interest in being the launch point for an Israel Adesanya redemption tour.
The surging French contender sent “The Last Stylebender” to his third consecutive defeat in the UFC Saudi Arabia headliner, as he dispatched the Nigerian-born Kiwi via technical knockout 30 seconds into Round 2 of their middleweight bout ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday. Imavov took a round to get on track before living up to his “Sniper” moniker with a perfectly-placed overhand right that had Adesanya reeling. From there it was academic, as Imavov secured his fourth straight UFC triumph with a barrage of follow-up punches near the fence. Now the Frenchman has a title shot in his sights.
